Moda Studyo

Kadiköy, İstanbul – Located on Moda Street in Kadıköy, this small studio apartment project was developed based on the complete removal of the existing floor plan and the complete redesign of the space from scratch. The fundamental approach of the design is to create a compact living environment that provides maximum use and continuity within a minimum square footage.
Spatial divisions are defined not by walls but by specially designed fixed furniture elements. Storage, work, sleep and seating functions are resolved within a single holistic system, resulting in a flexible and fluid interior. The project aims to produce a fully equipped and efficient living unit within the dense urban fabric, particularly for mobile workers.
All details have been designed from scratch; material and production decisions have been made in line with the principles of compact use, durability and continuity. Local marble has been preferred in wet areas, developing a long-lasting and contextual solution, creating a small-scale but holistic living concept.
