Kadı House

Kadı House

2018, Izmir – Bergama. Haci Riza house dates from the end of the XIX century. With similar characteristics of Greek houses from that period, it was built as residence, shop and warehouse. It remained empty for a certain period and suffered degradation due to neglect.

Bergama has always been remembered as a cultural, artistic and scientific center in history and has preserved this feature for many years. Today, Bergama has lost these features. While choosing the new function of Haci Riza House, this role of Bergama in history was taken into consideration and this cultural and artistic spirit was tried to be recovered.

The building has been considered as a center for cultural and artistic activities. Locals will take an active role in the center where research, exhibitions, concerts and cultural activities on various subjects will take place.
